QR Code Photo Sharing for Events
QR code photo sharing puts every guest's photos and videos in one album: you print or show a QR code, guests scan it with their phone camera, and they upload straight from the browser. Nobody installs an app or makes an account. wed.photo works the same way at a birthday, a company event, a party, or a wedding, and you can start with a free album.

How it works
Create your album
Sign up, name the album after your event, and you get a QR code and a share link right away. The free trial holds 50 photos for 7 days, which is enough to test it before the real thing.
Print or show the QR code
Put the QR code where guests will see it: a sign at the entrance, cards on the tables, a slide between speakers, or the invitation itself.
Guests scan and upload
Guests point their phone camera at the code, the upload page opens in Safari or Chrome, and they add photos and videos. Everything lands in your album.
Pick your event
The setup is the same for every event. What changes is where the QR code goes and what you ask guests to shoot.
- Birthday parties: put the code by the cake table and on the invitation so the candles moment gets shot from every angle. See birthday party photo sharing.
- Corporate events and conferences: print the code on badges and agenda cards and put it on a slide between sessions. See corporate event photo sharing.
- Weddings: table cards and a sign at the reception entrance work best. See QR code for wedding photos.
- Live slideshow on a TV: show guest photos on a screen while the event is still going. See live event slideshow.
- Graduations: put the code on the party invitation and on a sign at the photo spot, so classmates and family add to the same album.
- Baby showers: a card on the gift table and by the games catches the moments the host is too busy to shoot.
- Family reunions: younger relatives can scan and upload for older ones, and everyone gets the photos from every branch of the family.

What guests see
Guests see an upload page in their phone browser, not an app store. They don't need an account, a password, or an email address.
- Scan the QR code with the phone camera, or tap the share link.
- The album opens in Safari, Chrome, or whatever browser the phone uses.
- Pick photos and videos from the camera roll and upload.
- Anyone with the link can also look through the album.

Where to put the QR code
Put the code where people stand still for a few seconds: the entrance, the tables, and the screen.
- Entrance sign: the first thing guests see, so they know about the album before they start shooting.
- Table cards: guests scan during dinner, when phones are already out.
- The screen: on a slide, or in the corner of the live slideshow, so new uploads keep coming in.
- The invitation: people can save the link before the event and upload afterward too.
- Badges and agendas at work events: the code travels with each attendee all day.
What it doesn't do (yet)
wed.photo keeps things simple, and a few things are deliberately missing or still on the way.
- Photos appear without host approval. You can delete any photo, and it's removed for everyone, with no undo. Approving uploads before they appear is coming soon.
- The album isn't password protected. Anyone with the link or the QR code can open it, so share it with your guests, not on a public post.
- Guests can't edit or add filters. The upload page only uploads.
How much it costs
You can start free, then pay once per album. There's no subscription.
- Free Trial, $0: 50 photos for 7 days.
- Keepsake, $39.
- Celebration, $68: 12 months, includes TV mode for a live slideshow.
- Signature, $99: 24 months, includes TV mode for a live slideshow.
How does QR code photo sharing work at an event?
You create an album and get a QR code. Guests scan it with their phone camera, the upload page opens in their browser, and they add photos and videos to the shared album.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. The QR code opens a web page in Safari or Chrome. Guests don't download anything or sign up.
Can guests upload videos too?
Yes. Guests can add photos and videos to the same album.
Can I show guest photos on a screen during the event?
Yes. TV mode shows a live slideshow of guest photos on a TV or projector. It's included on the Celebration ($68) and Signature ($99) plans.
Who can see the album?
Anyone with the link or the QR code can open the album. It isn't password protected, so share it with your guests rather than posting it publicly.
Can I remove a photo someone uploaded?
Yes. As the album owner you can delete any photo, and it's removed for everyone. Deleting can't be undone. Approving photos before they appear is coming soon.
Which events does it work for?
Any event where guests take photos: birthdays, company events and conferences, parties, weddings, graduations, baby showers and family reunions.
